The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) expect all businesses to declare their commitment to health and safety and set down their intentions in a written policy.
Many consultancies provide lengthy policies which, despite their best intentions, can cause issues by committing the company to tasks they are not capable of fulfilling. This could potentially lead to penalties from the authorities for not adhering to what the policy states would be completed.
For this reason, our policy template is concise and simple but still complies with HSE requirements. The aim is to show good intentions and the company’s commitment to maintaining the standard as written.
Small businesses do not legally require a written policy, but it may be necessary to have one on file if you should ever bid for subcontracted business from government organisations or larger corporations.
We can also provide similar policies covering:
- Contractor Management
- Environmental
- Waste Management.
Plus templates for many other smaller issues which may arise.
